Desde la mirada del monte, el libro contempla el horror de una de las cuarenta y dos masacres que, en un lapso de tres años, dejaron trescientas cincuenta y cuatro víctimas en la región de Montes de María, en Colombia. "Si a eso se le suma que con ellos entró la noche en las casas, entró y salió la noche como quiso, extendiendo su cielo oscuro como se estira una piel, como Dios cubrió con piel el cuerpo del animal, si se nos permite el préstamo, es decir, envolviéndolo todo, si usted le suma a eso la noche en toda su extensión y envoltura, puede hacerse de pronto una idea". From the perspective of the mountain, the book contemplates the horror of one of the forty-two massacres that, in a three-year period, left three hundred and fifty-four victims in the Montes de María region of Colombia.
