Este es el relato del primer día de colegio de Paco Yunque. Es una jornada difícil para él, y la sobrelleva con aprensión, miedo y asombro: ''¡Qué cosa extraña era estar en el colegio!''. Y a la abrumadora realidad a la que se enfrenta, Paco Yunque debe sortear el mismo hecho que lo lleva a ese colegio: acompañar al hijo de la patrona de su mamá. A lo largo del cuento, no se hacen esperar las injusticias, saltan a la vista los desequilibrios sociales y se asoman providenciales gestos de camaradería. This is the story of Paco Yunque's first day of school. It is a difficult day for him, and he bears it with apprehension, fear and wonder: 'What a strange thing it was to be at school!' And to the overwhelming reality that he faces, Paco Yunque must overcome the same fact that leads him to that school: accompany the son of his mother's employer. Throughout the story, injustices do not wait, social imbalances are obvious and providential gestures of camaraderie appear.
