Óliver Valencia va a la escuela General Piripitache y usa más de cien veces al día la palabra "inchi". Hasta que un día tiene que decidir entre dejar de comer los platillos de su abuela o dejar de decirla, y lo mejor para él es elegir lo segundo. Sin embargo, Óliver no se siente satisfecho con esta palabra fuera de su vocabulario, por lo que inventa una nueva, "farofe", cuyo significado es equivalente al de "inchi". Como nadie sabe qué quiere decir, puede usarla libremente sin que sus padres o sus profesores lo regañen. No obstante, al poco tiempo "farofe" está en boca de todos y hasta al diccionario va a dar.
